INTRODUCTION
GAME OVERVIEW
- The basis of this game is to help Becky find the list of items she has jotted down on her notebook page.
- At the start of each scene the notebook page will have a fresh set of items written on it. After finding all of the items listed on the page, Becky will advance to the next scene and be one step closer to solving the mystery.
- To the right side of Becky’s notebook page is her Grandmother’s Locket; this Locket will turn out to be your greatest ally.
- Once you have this Locket in your possession it will be all set for use. Click on the word of an item written on the notebook page to see a silhouette of what the real item looks like.
- The silhouette of the item will materialize in the Locket to aid you further with your search. This ability is quite useful because it does not require anything for its usage.
- However, there are hint points for a reason. After activating the ability described above, you can click on the silhouette to find the item in an even easier way.
- After clicking on the silhouette, the Locket will begin to glow and emit a tingling sound. The closer your mouse pointer is to the actual item, the greener the Locket will glow, and the louder the tingling sound will be.
- The further your mouse pointer is from the item, the redder the Locket will glow, and the lower the tingling sound will be.
- In the beginning you will start with a small amount of five hint points; but don’t worry, you can come across more hint points.
- Each scene comes with three Feline items included in it for you to find; for every Feline item you discover, an extra hint point is awarded to you. Hint points are scarce, so use them sparingly.
- Make a note of this; Feline items do not appear on the item notebook page, so you won’t be able to use the Locket to locate them.
- Aside from that, there are two types of items which will appear on the list.
- The first is a normal item; these are written in black on the item list. When starting a scene you will get quite a few of these items on your list. These items are the most common of the types.
- The other kind is the special item; these items appear to be written in red on the item list. These rare items are used to help Becky along with the mystery. These items do not appear on your item list randomly, a number of them are assigned to each scene, depending on where you are in the story.
- Free Mode will be unlocked after you have accomplished the first six scenes. In free mode you can revisit any scene which was previously accomplished. However, this mode does not have any affect on the story itself. Also, you can use your hint points in this mode; however, you cannot gain any hint points. Keep this in mind.
SCREENSHOT GUIDE
- Normal items in this game have been highlighted in yellow. Remember that the normal items are written in black. These items are very random; having the same items as the ones shown in this guide is just about impossible.
- Special items have been highlighted in a purple color. The locations of these items are not random, they are absolute, and so everyone should have the same circumstances.
- Feline items are highlighted in a bright green color. The locations of these items are absolute, just as the special items are. Moreover, when revisiting a scene they will be in the exact places in which they where found previously.
- Entrances to other scenes have been highlighted in a light blue color. Basically you click on these to enter into an extension of your current scene.
- When there is a screenshot of an actual puzzle being solved, these colors will have no meaning.
GUIDE CHAPTERS
- This game does not have any chapters, but it does take a record of the amount of scenes you have entered and labels it as a level. So if you are on the fifth scene of the game, then you should be on Level 5.
- The easiest way to use this guide is to first know which level you are currently on.
- When you are in the Main menu, click on the Profile button to see a record of the level and scene you are on.
- The Chapters for this guide have titles such as: Levels 1-10, Levels 11-17, and so on. The term 1-10 basically means 1 through 10, so if you are in Level 5, then you should take a look at the chapter labeled “Levels 1-10” for help.
- The levels in each chapter have been grouped according to the visits you will make to each puzzle. This means that there is a puzzle within each of this guides chapters.
- There are a total of six chapters, so there are a total of six puzzles.
